Marc Lanovaz

Marc J. Lanovaz, PhD, is a professor in the School of Psychoeducation at the University of Montreal and a researcher at the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal. The work in his lab has been funded by several major granting agencies such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and the Fonds de recherche du Québec.

His research program currently involves the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and technology to improve the delivery of health and social services. More specifically, his current research interests involve developing and testing machine learning models to improve decision-making; developing and assessing mobile and web applications to support parents and professionals; automatically detecting motor and vocal behavior using artificial intelligence; and conducting data mining to analyze the behavior of patients, parents and professionals.

Marc has authored more than eighty publications on diverse topics such as developing algorithms, clinical decision-making, parent training, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
